Website design
Frederick William Hoag Architecture (FWH), an award-winning firm based in Connecticut, needed a website that was harmonious with the contemporary designs they create.
The task was to deliver a fully immersive viewing experience with a site layout that would prioritize project imagery and editorial style content.
This project was designed by Blake Kinne prior to the formation of 11B Studio, during his time at The Visual Brand, which retains the relationship to the client and rights to the artwork.
Rotating full-bleed photography and ample white space highlight FWH's craftsmanship, while a simple navigation system organizes the site by project type.
A layout of responsive tiles adapts to both tall and wide imagery, ensuring no detail is left out of frame.
All layouts adhere to an editorial-style grid, featuring an asymmetrical balance of content that gives each page unique personality but maintains a cohesive feel.
The site was designed with user-friendliness in mind, with the intention that FWH would easily update product pages on their own, without any hassle.
